Cruisin’ Grand, Downtown Escondido, CA

Escondido is a little hidden gem in North County San Diego. Escondido, which means “hidden” in Spanish, is located about 30 minutes northeast of downtown San Diego and only about 20 minutes to the coastal north county beaches. This is where we bought our first home and it holds a special place in our hearts. Escondido has grown up quite a bit since we moved there in 2000. There are lots of things to do with kids, many wineries and breweries and their downtown has flourished, even through Covid, over the years. The downtown area offers bars and breweries, family-friendly restaurants, coffee shops and more.

Another fun event to attend in Escondido is Cruisin’ Grand. This is a FREE event and is fun for all ages. Come check out the Classics, Customs, Vintage, Muscle, and Hot Rods. The event runs for six months, from April through September, and it runs every Friday from 5-9 pm. Come on out and support local businesses and check out these amazing classic cars.
